On October 15–16, 2022, the One Book One Community (OBOC) campaign participated in the Book Market 2022 at Olympia Mall, Phnom Penh, an event organized by Riel Tiger Solutions in collaboration with Cambodia Book Day and other partners.

The Book Market brought together more than 40 publishers, authors, libraries, and book distributors to showcase and sell a wide variety of titles, encouraging the public to read and support Cambodia’s creative and literary industries.

As one of the key participants, the OBOC team set up a booth to share its mission of promoting reading culture, supporting community libraries, and inspiring youth involvement in literacy development. Visitors—including students, educators, and families—were introduced to OBOC’s campaign “Together promote reading in community,” learning how small contributions and community engagement can make a difference in expanding access to books across the country.

The two-day event attracted strong public interest and created a lively environment where people could explore, purchase, and exchange books while connecting with Cambodian authors and publishers. Through its presence, OBOC continued to advocate for a nationwide reading culture and to build partnerships that link the publishing sector with educational and social-impact initiatives.
